- Thunderbolt 5 at 80Gbps: Sustained reads above 6,000 MB/s with a fast NVMe SSD (real speed depends on the drive and the host port)
- LCD Status Screen: On Thunderbolt 5/4/3 or USB4 it shows fan speed, voltage and board temperature; on USB 3/2 it shows fan speed, drive health and drive temperature
- Quiet Smart Fan: Adjusts its speed automatically so long transfers don't slow down from heat. Hold the button 2-3 seconds to turn it on or off
- Dual Controller: JHL9480 + RTL9210B for high performance, low power use and broad compatibility
- Up to 8TB: Fits M.2 NVMe 2280 SSDs (M key or B+M key). SATA B-key drives are not supported
- Plug and Play: No drivers on Windows, macOS or Linux. On a Mac, format the drive as APFS or exFAT
Aluminum alloy body, 138 x 56.5 x 16mm, about 163g. The screen turns off after 5 minutes; press the button once to wake it. Some very high-capacity SSDs may not work with MacBooks. In the box: enclosure, 0.3m cable and screwdriver. SSD not included.
